Texas Holdem is the most exciting poker variant played in land based casinos and online. Besides being very stimulating this poker is quite profitable to play. If we're in it for the profits we'll surely have to check out Texas Holdem odds calculators being peddled online.

There are a lot of calculators being offered online but we must make sure that we get what we really need. The number one criterion for this is our play style. Second is the kind of poker we want to play. Just getting any poker calculator won't do. We'd probably be lured into buying calculators with many features and functions-many of which we do not need.

The calculator should have adjustable settings with regards to play style. Remember, the calculator should help us, not dictate what we should do. So we should be able to impose on it how it should perform for us and at what level. Some calculators display results we have to adjust to. They may urge us to bet aggressively or play tightly when we see the need to play in the opposite. Or vice versa.

Also make sure that calculators have the features we need to win when playing a certain poker variant. But with 3 or 4 hands it would be very difficult without a calculator. With hand ranking also come hand values and odds. The calculator has to quickly give us initial accurate advices as to the potential of the hand we have at pre-flop.

Thus, aside from usual features like hand and pot odds calculation, we have to make sure that the Texas Holdem odds calculators we choose from have the right functions we need.
